Solo Secure comes with the latest firmware signed by SoloKeys. Ready to use and the perfect way for you, your friends or parents. This version has a protected bootloader and only accepts firmware updates signed by SoloKeys.
The unique security concept protects against read-out of the sensitive key material that is stored on the stick.
Due to this security concept, however, it is not possible to run your own / modified firmware on the device.
However, it is still open source hardware and firmware, and so there is also a (little unsafer) variant with unprotected boot loader: Solo Hacker, for makers and developers.

Key received quite fast. Haven’t tested the key yet, but should work like older FIDO U2F keys. Also thanks for gummy bear package.

Little thingy works like a charm. Simple and very useful when you have lot of 2FA to work with, easy setup on Arch Linux.

Ordered both the Solo and Somu (mini), received them within the week (shipped to the Netherlands). The keys were both properly packaged (both keys come in anti-static bags). The keys work like a charm, I particularly like the way the Solo has a true button click, which provides very good feedback.
